So I frequent what’s called “Fondas”, because if I find the right fonda, the food can be very tasty & for $2.50-3.00 for a plate of rice, beans & chicken (a smidgen of salad since I mentioned already that many lower class Panamanians don’t eat vegetables), it’s a steal.
But lately my chicken has been nothing but bones. I don’t know if it’s just because of this area (Vacamonte in Arraijan) or what, but I have to constantly pick the bones out of my mouth & I’m getting very little chicken. In fact, the way they cut the chicken it splinters the bones so you get even more. Again, another example of how unintelligent they are.
It’s a shame because one of the fondas here is really good.
