So it turns out that plastic bags disintegrate in Panama. It’s the weirdest thing & kind of frustrating. Recently I’ve started to see bags around my house holding items, & they just fall apart. Even bags that have nothing in them (one is in a waste paper basket that had no garbage in it) just fell apart & I can’t even pick up the pieces because they too fall apart in my fingers.

I thought maybe it was the cheap bags manufactured in Panama, but I believe one of the bags that had clothes in it is a thicker bag I had from back home.

This is inline with all the other problems I’m having with things falling apart in Panama. So as I mentioned in another post, expect to have to repurchase items much faster than if you were back home. If your place will be air conditioned, this may solve your problem.
