So it’s a commonly known fact that taxi drivers in Panama have no desire to make money AND, they will leave you stranded in the rain with no place to go.

It’s supposedly a law here that taxi drivers can NOT drive right by you & not pick you up, but they don’t follow that law.

In most countries (even all over Latin America) taxi drivers stop for you & pick you up. Here in Panama they don’t. And just to be clear, we aren’t talking 1 or 2 taxis, I can be standing in the pouring rain with bags of groceries & 10-20 taxis can go by (many empty) & NO ONE will stop for me.
